How do I get old pictures from previous versions of windows.? - pictures of vagnas

I burned a few photos and earlier in the year 2003 and on CDs. If I do with my Mac or Windows detects open the CD, but it seems to be no information about them. I think it was from an earlier version of Windows (maybe Windows 2007) burned. Any tips?
